Tamia E. Kramer
Tamia Kramer serves as the Director of Real Estate at Penn State and joined the University in 2022. She brings 20 years of commercial real estate experience to this position. Tamia oversees the Real Estate Office at Penn State, which is responsible for all transactional real property activities impacting University property and operations for all 24 Penn State campuses; including leasing activity, acquisitions, dispositions and gifted real property.
Before joining Penn State, Tamia lead the real estate department for Ardent Health Services in Nashville, TN, since 2017. While Ardent’s AVP Real Estate, Tamia created an in-house real estate department from scratch, managing all real estate transactions for Ardent’s 30 Hospital facilities and hundreds of clinics. Over a five-year period, Tamia contributed a collective value added of $50M via negotiated savings, consolidations and improved income from owned assets. In addition, Tamia also developed centralized processes and procedures to improve cross-collaboration between corporate departments, and also with each facility. Most recently, Tamia completed a sale/leaseback transaction of 18 separate properties, comprised of an NOI of $10.6M and Sale Price of $204M – a 5.2% cap rate.
Prior to her work with Ardent, Tamia worked for Adeptus Health based in Dallas, TX, where she oversaw all acquisition and development due diligence of new sites, as well as managing logistics for all real property closings. Tamia began her real estate career as a broker managing real property portfolios for large healthcare systems.
Tamia graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Government and Legal Studies from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX. Tamia is also an active member of The Counselors of Real Estate.
Outside of her work with Penn State, Tamia enjoys volunteering with local food banks, and any outdoor activity she can enjoy with her three dogs.
