Thomas (Tom) Rodgers serves as the Interim Associate Vice President of Facilities Management and Planning and the University’s Chief Facilities Officer. Prior to this role, Tom most recently served as the Assistant Vice President of Administration in the Penn State Office of Physical Plant (OPP), where he led strategic efforts in budgeting; OPP safety; marketing and communications; operational technology; and access and security. With a 25+ year career in higher education centered on innovative leadership, Tom is committed to discovering new methods to enhance service delivery and drive operational efficiency, ensuring the sustainable success of his team. Tom has a background in Business Technology and Leadership and is keenly focused on operational excellence. 

Known for his ability to lead through organizational change, Tom excels in streamlining processes and elevating service quality. He brings a strategic approach to aligning departmental goals with broader organizational objectives, consistently driving improvements that benefit the entire institution. Tom is a proven leader in fostering collaboration and building consensus across all levels of the organization. By partnering effectively with senior leaders and working closely with teams, he develops and implements strategies that enhance both operations and customer experiences.
