Wesley R. Sheets

As Chief for Penn State University Police and Public Safety (UPPS), Wes oversees all divisions within the department including police, behavioral threat management, diversity, equity, and inclusion, public information, Clery Act compliance, police records, emergency management, and physical security. UPPS employees are responsible for the protection of and service to all students, employees, and visitors at 22 campuses across Pennsylvania. Wes began his law enforcement career in 2006 and joined Penn State in 2013 where he previously served University Police and Public Safety as a Lieutenant and Station Commander, Deputy Chief, and Executive Deputy Chief of Operations. Throughout his career, Wes has remained dedicated to ensuring the highest level of professional service and support to our communities.
